About the Book
Bobbie is a dark, chaotic, and often absurd adventure that follows a deeply flawed but strangely compelling protagonist as he stumbles through a world of questionable decisions, unexpected friendships, and moments of surprising sincerity.
Blending sharp humor with genuine heart, the story moves fast, takes risks, and doesn’t always play by the rules. Along the way, it explores connection, growth, and the strange ways people find meaning in the middle of chaos.
At its core, Bobbie is less about getting things right and more about what happens when everything goes wrong in ways you never saw coming.
“Humor will save us.”

About the Author
Jake Waits is an emergency medicine physician based in Bend, Oregon, where he has spent over a decade working in high-pressure environments that have given him a front-row seat to the unpredictable, absurd, and often darkly humorous side of human nature.
His writing draws from those experiences, along with a love of outdoor adventure, international travel, and a lifelong appreciation for humor that probably peaked somewhere around middle school and never fully matured.
Bobbie reflects that perspective—fast-moving, irreverent, and occasionally sincere—blending chaos, humor, and unexpected moments of connection into a story that doesn’t always follow the rules, but rarely slows down.
